Privacy Policy

Vealo does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app runs entirely locally on your device:

• No network. The app never connects to the internet and sends no telemetry, analytics, or reports.
• No accounts. No sign-up or login.
• No administrator rights. Vealo runs as a standard user and never requests elevated privileges.
• Your data stays with you. Settings, the icon cache, and an error log are stored only in %AppData%\Vealo on your PC and can be deleted at any time.

What the app does on your system (only when you choose to)

• Hides desktop icons ("Empty desktop" mode). Fully reversible: icons are restored when you exit the app or turn the mode off.
• A global hotkey and desktop-click detection to summon the panel, via a system mouse hook. Keystrokes and clicks are not logged or transmitted.
• Start with Windows (if enabled) writes the program path to the per-user registry Run key. No admin rights needed.
• Theme colours ("Wallpaper" theme, taskbar tint) are computed locally from your screen and settings, and never sent anywhere.

Steam version

If you install Vealo from Steam, the Steam client itself may process your purchase and ownership data under Valve's privacy policy. Vealo only asks Steam whether the Pro DLC is owned; nothing else is exchanged.

This website

vealo.app uses privacy-friendly, cookie-free page analytics (aggregate visit counts only). No personal profiles, no cross-site tracking, no ads.
