One place to control all your RGB

RGB has no common standard. Every brand speaks its own closed protocol, which is why every brand ships its own app. There are exactly two ways in, and Vealo uses both at once.

You only do this once. After that OpenRGB starts with Windows, sits quietly in the tray, and Vealo finds your devices on its own.

1. Download OpenRGB from the official site openrgb.org and install it.
2. Open it and go to Settings, then General Settings.
3. Tick three boxes: Start At Login, Start Minimized and Start Server.
4. Close the window. OpenRGB stays in the tray, and Vealo picks your devices up automatically.

Type a brand or a model and see whether it is on the supported list. No download needed.

Four causes cover almost every case, in order of how often they happen.

• The vendor app grabbed the device. Only one program can own a device at a time. If SteelSeries GG, iCUE or G HUB is running, close it fully from the tray, not just the window.
• The SDK server is off. OpenRGB is running but nothing can reach it. Turn on Start Server in its settings, or let Vealo start it for you from the lighting section.
• The device was plugged in later. OpenRGB scans hardware once at startup. Press Find devices in Vealo and it will rescan without you opening OpenRGB at all.
• Motherboard, RAM or coolers stay dark. Those sit on a low-level bus and need OpenRGB started as administrator. Keyboards, mice and mousepads work without it.
